ChatBridge (“the extension”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect and how it’s used.
What we collect
- Account information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and basic profile information (name) to create and identify your account.
- Usage data: We store a count of how many context capsules you’ve created per day, tied to your account, to enforce free-tier limits.
- Subscription status: If you upgrade to the unlimited plan, we store your subscription status and a Stripe customer reference to manage billing. We do not store your payment card details — these are handled entirely by Stripe.
What we do not collect
- Your AI chat conversation content is processed entirely within your browser. It is never transmitted to, or stored on, our servers.
- We do not track your browsing history, keystrokes, or activity on other websites.
How we use your data
- To authenticate your account via Google Sign-In
- To enforce the free plan’s daily capsule limit
- To manage your subscription if you upgrade to the unlimited plan
Third-party services
- Google Sign-In (authentication)
- Stripe (payment processing) — Stripe’s own privacy policy governs how they handle payment data
- Supabase (secure storage of account and usage data)
We do not sell or share your data with third parties beyond what’s necessary to provide the service (Google, Stripe, Supabase), and we do not use your data for any purpose unrelated to ChatBridge’s core function.
